This is the subwoofer component of my first home hi-fi design and build. I dabbled with car audio in my teens but never anything this deep and DIY. I debated whether to share this project here, since this has been a place about surfing hardware. But as I’ve followed my curiosity into sound I’ve appreciated how the domains of surfing and music and the instruments that enable their expression are related. 

In a future post I’ll share more about the complete system which couples this woofer with two two-way bass reflex speakers powered by the same JBL 328C coaxial driver that OJAS discovered. Stay tuned for that.
